Trey Richardson
LEAD PASTOR/ELDER
Trey grew up in Northwest Arkansas in a family that was faithful to attend church and where he regularly heard the gospel from his brother. However, it was not until Trey was in college at the University of Arkansas that the Lord captivated his heart with Christ and he repented of sin and trusted in Christ as his Lord and Savior.
While in college, Trey grew to love God’s Word and God’s people. He also grew in his passion to reach the lost on the U of A campus. Eventually, his hunger to minister to others led him to pursue a Master of Divinity at Southern Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky. While in seminary, Trey was greatly shaped at Third Avenue Baptist Church where his love for the church continued to grow. For 2 years after seminary, he helped with launching a college ministry out of Third Avenue at the University of Louisville, which would eventually become Campus Outreach Louisville. Those years at Third Avenue were especially formative for him and his wife, Kristen.
In 2016, Trey and his family moved back to Northwest Arkansas to serve in pastoral ministry at University Baptist Church in Fayetteville. At UBC, Trey continued to be equipped as a pastor and was sent out by UBC to serve as the lead pastor of Ozark Baptist Church in Bentonville in January 2022.
Greg Luka
ELDER
Greg grew up in Louisville, Kentucky. His family was involved in church throughout his childhood, but Greg didn’t recognize the depth of his sin and his need for Christ until his senior year of high school. By God’s grace, faithful men in his church stepped in to disciple Greg. Through this discipleship, Greg’s thirst to study God’s Word grew, and his love for the Lord deepened. In this time, Greg began to develop a passion for serving others in the church.
This led Greg to earn a B.A. from Boyce College in Louisville, and he is pursuing a Master of Divinity from Southern Seminary.
Greg served in youth and college ministry leadership at Walnut Street Baptist Church in Louisville as an intern and college director for 8 years before moving to Northwest Arkansas to help plant Northwest Community Church in 2010. He served there as pastor over groups for 9 years.
Most recently, Greg completed the pastoral internship at University Baptist Church in Fayetteville, Arkansas. Through God’s kindness, this was a time of fruitful learning and spiritual flourishing. During his time at UBC, Greg’s love for God and his church increased. Greg has a heart for church planting and loves how God uses church planting as an effective long-term strategy for evangelism. He is serving as a founding elder at Ozark Baptist Church while continuing to run his small business. In his free time he enjoys the outdoors by mountain biking and hiking with his family.
Matt Cockrell
ELDER
Matt grew up in Edmond, Oklahoma. His family was involved in church and Matt came to Christ at an early age at Knob Hill Baptist Church in Oklahoma City. Throughout his life, Matt has continued to grow in his knowledge and love for the Lord and the work of His people and in time, came to a desire to serve and shepherd others within the church and to reach the lost in Northwest Arkansas.
Matt graduated from the University of Central Oklahoma and received his master’s in Leadership and Ethics from John Brown University in Siloam Springs, Arkansas.
Matt has worked for Walmart for over 30 years. This career has taken him to several different states which deepened his spiritual growth. Matt and his family moved back to Bella Vista, Arkansas and he has served as a youth leader, Upward basketball coach and as a Deacon for 7 years at Legacy Baptist Church in Bella Vista.
In his free time, Matt is busy with being a father to his four children and a grandfather to his first grandson. He also enjoys fishing with his son, golf, and pickleball.
Colby grew up in the papermill town of Crossett, Arkansas in a family that was faithful to attend church. However, it wasn’t until freshman year in high school where the Lord, by means of His Spirit and gospel message, caused Colby to be born again. In doing so, Colby repented of his sins and turned in faith to Christ as Lord, Savior, and King.
Over the years, Colby had various mentors in local churches that discipled him in the Word and modeled what it meant to live a godly life, read theologically-sound books, and pastor the flock that the Lord entrusted to under-shepherds.
Colby graduated from Ouachita Baptist University in 2014 and Mid-America Baptist Theological Seminary in 2016 with a Master of Divinity. During those seasons of education, Colby was introduced to the ministry of 9-Marks and the book “Nine Marks of a Healthy Church” by Mark Dever, which has greatly shaped his understanding and love for the local church.
Colby and his wife, Jessica, were members of University Baptist Church in Fayetteville, Arkansas for seven years. At UBC, Colby completed the pastoral internship (bootcamp in ecclesiology and pastoral ministry) and worked on staff as a pastoral assistant over youth ministry with other pastoral responsibilities. Colby joined the staff at Ozark Baptist Church at the beginning of 2026 as an assistant pastor over “youth and groups.” He loves to invest in the lives of youth, families, and members of the church so that such men and women would proclaim and enjoy the excellencies of Christ.
